Big Plans for My Big Girl

After three years of house hunting, we have finally found our forever home! We purchased a foreclosure via online auction (more on that later). We are excited/ready to fix things up and decorate. There are lots of things on our to-do list, but the number one item is to get L’s room ready to make the transition easier for her.

The new room is much larger than L’s nursery with a large bay window and ample closet space.

For L’s big girl room, I want to keep the paint color (1) neutral so the room can grow with her. I love the warm pink undertone of the taupe color. And how sweet is the name “heavenly”?! To make her big girl room fun, I want to add an some interest on the wall. Maybe subtle gradient pink stripes (2) on one wall. You know I love an accent wall (and stripes). Or maybe some adhesive vinyl gold polka dots (3) on the ceiling. The room will need a graphic wool rug (4) to cozy up the floor and anchor the furniture. The bay window will be dressed up with fun and cheery blackout curtains (5). I also want to add a few cute and quirky accessories to finish off the room (6, 7, 8).
